Hi Eric,
I am a graphic designer and want to pursue a career in web design and developing industry. And I have a few questions that I would like to ask:
1. Is the IMM really useful? Why not choosing program like “computer programmer” ?
2. How about of your alumni? Do they really have a good career? I check the testimonals of IMM site and it seems really impressive.
3. If I don’t have any coding background? Will this program be really hard to me? Lot of texts to read?
4. How would you compare IMM and New Media Design?
5. Is this Blog be one of your assignment?

Hi Vince,
I think IMM is very diverse, it’s not just programming. We learn Flash, Web Design, Audio Video and as you are a graphic designer, I think you won’t have too much problem on the visual side of the program. There is some people that don’t have any experience with the coding either, though they need some more time to go through the basic of programming. There is not really much books to read as text are usually used for referencing.
I don’t know what the differences are between IMM and New Media, but I think New Media focus more on the Television and IMM is more focusing on the web.
Finally, this blog is indeed an assignment.
